London, 13 February 2007 - US-based travel technology specialist HyperTech Solutions today announced plans to build a 'substantial presence' in the UK travel trade marketplace. Its new London-based business, HyperTech Solutions UK Ltd (www.hypertechsolutions.com), is led by managing director Tim Wright, formerly a Worldspan vice president and lately head of business development and distribution at FEXCOAllTravel, who recently celebrated 40 years in the industry. Power Behind First US Dynamic Packager - And 4th Largest US Retailer HyperTech's technology was chosen last year by Costco Travel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Costco Wholesale Corporation ("Costco") (NASDAQ: COST), the fourth-largest US retailer and seventh-largest retailer in the world, to power its travel operations. A leading GDS is also rolling out HyperTech's technology as its preferred dynamic packaging solution for its agency subscribers, and in November 2006, HyperTech won the World Travel Market / TravelMole travel technology award for best dynamic packaging tools for agents. Getting Technology Right Claiming 'dynamic packaging is here to stay, whatever the issues', Wright stated that HyperTech's solutions are affordable for smaller travel agencies, yet can meet the more complicated requirements, such as scalability, of large agencies and tour operators. Consultant Rates HyperTech Highly This validation, says Wright, reflects HyperTech's ability to harness leading edge, open standard technologies into robust solutions that are implemented on time and budget. He explained: "The way we approach solution design, implementation and support means we can deliver simple or complex solutions, according to business need". "It's clear from my industry research that there aren't many UK technology suppliers who are comfortable with the more complicated stuff. Our technology platform is particularly effective for more complex requirements, and the tougher the challenge, the better we respond. By letting us take care of the technology, trade customers can focus on taking care of their businesses." Technology Features Its XML-based dynamic packaging and air fare processing engines can integrate with existing systems or be stand-alone. HyperTech applications use open source programming wherever possible, are platform-independent and fully portable. For further media information, contact: >> BACK |
